This post is a new feature that we hope is done every week to let you know what is going on with the Kansas City Job Seekers community and the latest news. Feel free to leave comments or give your input on what is shared. We want to make this site a community and make sure you feel valued as a reader.
First, a new Facebook page has been set up where information that is shared on this site such as job leads and networking events will also be posted on there. You can join the page at http://www.facebook.com/KansasCityJobSeekers. We also hope discussions around what is shared on this page will start and we can get to know each other better.
Second, there has been some thoughts around starting to share links to articles/posts that tie in to job searching that may be of benefit to all of you. We could have specific topics shared for each weekday. Mondays could be articles around job searching/networking. Tuesdays focused on resumes, Wednesdays on interviews, and so on. Please let us know your thoughts on this idea.
Third, this is still a work in progress, but we may start having some guest posts or dedicated pages where those in the career field (recruiters, career coaches, etc.) would share their insights and what to look for in your job search. This is still in its early stages of planning, but I wanted to share with you. If you know of anyone who would be interested in this opportunity to share on the site their job search advice, let me know.
