The reddit “Internet 2012” bus tour will make a stop in Kansas City on Monday, Oct. 8 at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
The bus tour is crossing the Midwest to rally communities to share stories about how startups, local governments, small businesses and individuals are using the platform of the Open Internet to start new companies, learn new skills, earn extra income, and improve quality of life.
Following a complimentary dinner, reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian will lead a panel discussion featuring founders of some of Kansas City’s most innovative Internet-based startups, including AgLocal, Neighbor.ly andLeap2. Also on the panel will be Jay Rogers, founder and CEO of Arizona-based Local Motors, the world’s first open-source automobile company.
