Social Media Club of Lawrence Google+ Hangout (Virtual Meeting)

Time: 7:30pm – 8:30pm

The topic of our discussion will be all things Google. We will start by discussing people’s opinions on Google + and will then share tips for more efficiently using Google products like Gmail and Google Docs.

In order to participate you will need a Google + account. If you already have a gmail address, you likely already have an account. You will also need some type of web cam to actively participate, but you should be able to just watch the live stream of the meeting if you don’t have access to a web cam.

Google limits the number of active participates on Hangouts to ten, so join us early at 7:15pm if you want to make sure you get a spot. We will be attempting to broadcast the hangout live. So even if we fill up our ten active spots, you will be able to watch and post questions and/or comments on our Google Plus page.

Re-Think the Brand Called You with Donna Fedor Webinar

Time: 11:30am – 1:00pm CDT

It’s crucial when you interview for a job to be able to distinguish yourself from every other candidate. Your part on the interview is to articulate why they should hire you. Who are they hiring? What is your character, track record, and reputation? What can they count on? Through a series of questions, they hope to get to know you.  Bottom line, they hope you are the one.

When you’re unclear and have difficulty talking about yourself, it’s actually uncomfortable, and you’re less likely to share yourself with others. You have a brand whether you’re aware of it or not. The brand called YOU is one of the most important parts of the whole job search process.

You will learn:

  • To polish the diamond. (That diamond is you!)
  • How to change the way you think about YOU
  • How to boost your self-confidence
  • Your “ME” file including accomplishments, strengths value statements and elevator pitch
  • What relationships are absolutely necessary to drive you forward toward the fulfillment of your ultimate life
